The 14" 16-strand Pearl Free-Floating PureSound Vintage wires are designed specifically to accommodate the dimensions of the drum. Both end plates have modern configurations for a string or strap attachment into the strainer and butt plate.

The snare wire for the 14 inches pearl free-floating snare drum has 16 strands, an overall length of 15 3/4 inches, and a strand length of 14 7/8 inches (including the soldered area on each end-plate).
